Unpublished Moments from 2016 & What is to Come

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are enjoying the New Year as much as I am. For the first time in a year I took 2 weeks off from posting here on my blog. I did this mainly because I needed time to strategize, balance, unwind and start 2017 off right.

2016 was a wonderful year. It was just under a year ago when I fully embarked on my blogging journey and since then I’ve learned so much about blogging and the social media world. With the hustle that was in 2016, I found myself often times feeling burnt out, working non-stop around the clock. I ignored feelings of tiredness and I just kept going and running on low almost too often.

It wasn’t until after New Year’s that I realized what it felt like to live on a more relaxed schedule (I was already taking some time off blogging but kept up my Instagram and social channels everyday). As I wrap-up the last month of my one-year-hustle, I feel ready to jump into the next chapter of my journey! Hustle will still be very much a part of my everyday routine, however I am taking what I’ve learned and using it to create a better balance in my life going forward.

Here’s what’s to come in 2017:

Exercise

Going to the gym / exercising 5 days a week – 2-3x a week just wasn’t cutting it for me (maybe because of how much time I actually sit and do work)

Travel More

We are currently making plans for the first half of the year right now. Looking into Italy, Switzerland/Stockholm, Bulgaria, Greece and perhaps 2 states through this July. Growing my travel section is a goal of mine for this year.

Better Content 

Will focus on producing the best content I can through my life’s journey. Always remember, don’t try to do what others are doing. Do your own thing and make it spectacular!

New Categories

With this I will be creating 2 new categories. Hair/Beauty and Blogging Resources. You guys have asked me so many questions about these two topics and it would make me so happy to give back anything and everything I know. I am currently working on site updates (new about me section is up), and promise to be on top of updating all my tabs! At this moment, I intend to create one new recipe per week as well, with publishing valuable blog content 2-4x week consistently. I am also focusing on creating more Insta-Stories/Snapchats.

This may sound like an ambitious amount, but I am ambitious. I think it’s reasonable and doable if I stay organized and not get lost on Instagram for countless hours. You bloggers out there know what I’m talking about! I am really dying to visit some exotic islands and resorts, if you guys have any recommendations, I’d love to hear about them! 🙂
