Hello loves!
It’s great to be back! I hope you guys are all doing fabulously yourselves and I cannot wait to catch up with each and every one of you!
What a trip that turned out to be right?! If you haven’t read yesterday’s post yet, you can catch it here.
If you ever have the chance to travel to Switzerland, be sure to DO IT!! Everything is amazing. From the clean food, to the best chocolate recipes, and the stunning countrysides – you can’t go wrong.
Basel Switzerland is like home to me. First time I visited was in 2009 when my family first moved there and I came along for a long summer vacation after my college graduation. I love how clean and tidy everything is, things are repaired before they become broken and the swiss quality of life is more than fair! I came close to moving permanently there, but hesitated greatly on leaving behind California and all my friends.
To this day, I try and visit once a year, and every time we go my husband and I like to explore new beautiful cities. Basel borders France (if you look left) and Germany (if you look right), so it makes exploring these countries so much easier as well! All you really need is a bike to cross the border or a car if you wish to go further in and do some more exploring.
I wore this lovely burnt orange romper in Basel on the hottest day while we were there. Silly enough, the colors remind me of the swiss flag 🙂 We did a lot of walking that day with my brother, husband and parents so I made sure I wore flats, but more importantly these gladiator sandals! The color of the lace-up gladiators is spot on, and I wore them on repeat with dresses and shorts. The romper was the perfect lightweight fabric for the warm and humid day, and the cut-off sleeves add extra flare! I made sure I wore a hat on this day because too much sun and my nose ends up looking burnt orange itself! 😀
