The Navy Blue Dress

Sunday was perfect out here, weather was so nice and warm – my favorite! We had a dinner party to attend, and before going to it we decided to stop by the beach and grab an illy coffee. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites – Sale Ending This Weekend!

I absolutely love Nordstrom, and especially love their Anniversary Sale! I made note to be online the first day they had the pre-sale, and i’ve been going back and forth ordering since. I cannot get enough on sunglasses and shoes! It’s sort of what I go crazy over. I can have the same handbag forever, but sunglasses … I surprise myself at just how much I use and need them (I have light blue eyes). I ordered these by IIlesteva in silver mirror, and these in tortoise. Must have variety! I ordered these UGG boots for the winter (I’ll be going to Europe!), and these cute Valentino look-a-likes (but a fraction of the price!) and they are so comfy and the perfect height for the longer wear time, and finally these cute flats, in pale pink. And last but not least, this bikini top and bottoms by Red Carter. I’m happily surprised that it’s reversible and super comfy! Just won’t sit in the sun for too long wearing this, or I might end up looking like a waffle 😉

Fishing & Beyond

Our family trip to the mountains turned out to be really fun! I love the fresh mountain air here so much; can’t get enough of it. We stayed in our family’s condo, which is nestled above a beautiful glassy lake and surrounded by tons of birch trees. The last 3 days here have been great – we hiked, played tennis, barbecued, went into the jacuzzi, went to the beach, shot guns, and fished 4 separate times. There was 5 of us fishing at all times and we had little luck catching fish this trip. It was my first time getting a license and fishing! Jetsetting to Mammoth Lakes

Today was so incredible! A once in a lifetime sort of an experience: truly exceptional. We had our alarm set for 6am this morning, we got up, I had my lemon water and got dressed into my comfy travel attire – leggings, t-shirt and this super soft blue denim shirt which I tied around my waist for some extra layering if cold. I braided my hair for the first time ever into a side Dutch braid, and to my surprise I did pretty good considering how sleepy I was still when braiding. We loaded our luggage into the car and then stopped to drop off our little Fiji at our friends’ house for the weekend. He gets to spend the weekend with his new bestie – Pablo. Doggy Beach Park

The weather at the beach today was nice and so we decided to do a little family picnic. We made ourselves some lunch and prepared a special treat for Fiji – corn on the cob. We headed to a dog friendly beach park near our town instead of the beach itself because we wanted to have some fun in the grass. Alright, so this didn’t turn out green exactly and that’s because I like to add a small beet, which changes the bright green color to a deep dark red. Beets are great for flushing out toxins in the liver and are very cleansing to your body. That is, If you enjoy their taste. Remember, the richer the color of a veggie, the better it is for you.

Whenever I am not feeling my best, this is my go-to juice recipe. It’s really the best pick up! I’ve fought off many colds and viruses this way. Instead of taking a processed multi-vitamin, this is a my #1 alternative. Its fresh, raw and the best quality of nutrients that you can allow to enter your body.

Egg & Cheese Waffles

Ever wake up super happy and want to start the day in the best way possible, food wise? Wow, today was one of those days for me. It was part inspiration, part hunger, et voila! This was too good. In all the ways possible!

I don’t eat gluten, so I used Vans GF Waffles. If you’ve never had these before, you’re seriously missing out! They are gluten, dairy, egg and some are also soy free. I recommend the Ancient Grains or the Flax, or if you like to keep it simple, go for the Totally Original. You wont be sorry you tried these. They are very YUMMY! You can find them at your local health food store, or maybe even at your nearest grocery.

Also, if you are lactose intolerant, like me, you may want to try sheep’s and goat’s milk products. It’s much easier to digest, and you can still enjoy your cheeses! It works for me.
