We’ve seen some cold and rainy days here in California this winter. More than usual as a matter of fact. While that is an incredible thing for our state (for those of you that don’t know, we are in a severe drought), I’ve been seeking pieces that will help keep me warm and dry. Ones that will look cute even when layered.
I thought to share with you guys my most recent discovery and joy over these January outfits that I’ve styled all from Marks & Spencer. I felt so comfortable and warm during a cold weekend in Santa Barbara.
This first look is something I wore around town on the weekend, but really I could wear this outfit anywhere. It’s on trend, it’s chic, and the coat kept me warm and dry. Both the trench coat and the quilted jacket I am wearing in the second look have Stormwear™ technology designed to keep water from soaking into the fabric. Pretty clever for winter styling! Also, show me anything nautical and/or embroidered and I am HOOKED!

- Boots: Marks & Spencer
- Bag: Hammitt
Perhaps you could have guessed that this second look would have more embroidery! haha. I really love subtle hints of embroidered floral patterns lately. I find it so fun and just a step-up to your everyday basic. Just the way I like it!
The leather black booties I’m wearing here are great for everyday and pair with numerous outfits. I ordered a UK size 4 because I wear size 6.5-7 US, and when they arrived, they were a little tight in the front. Oops! Despite this, everything I am wearing in these two looks fit wonderfully. I see myself mixing and matching these items here with what I already own in my closet throughout this chilly season.
Well, stay warm and dry ladies and be sure to check out Marks & Spencer. They’ll have you covered for all of your Womenswear head to toe shopping!

January 26, 2017 at 6:51 pmThe blue coat is so pretty ! Do you think it would be sufficient for colder weather? San Francisco is generally around 45-55 degrees in the winter.

January 26, 2017 at 10:03 pmHi Joy! I wore this blue coat when it was about 45-50 degrees with a long sleeve shirt and was feeling great! I wouldn’t wear anything else though underneath at these temps. Hope this helps 🙂 xx
